Find the pieces.
Make sense of the chain.

Understand the difference between Black Hole and Wormhole: two tools for organizing your growing Dragon & Elfs collection.

Matching items or a whole chain?

Black Hole and Wormhole both help organize a growing Dragon & Elfs collection. The difference is what you want to gather: matching copies of an object, or related items across a merge chain.

WormholeA merge chainYou want to organize related objects at different stages.

Black Hole: work with matching copies.

Suppose you are planning a five-item merge. The immediate question is whether you have enough identical items, even if they are spread around your home. Black Hole is the tool designed to gather matching items.

Its role is gathering. You still decide which items to merge and what you want to keep.

Wormhole: work with a chain.

Now imagine that your project includes several stages of the same collection. You are interested in the whole sequence, rather than only copies of one object. Wormhole is designed to organize that merge chain.

Related items are not necessarily identical items. Seeing the chain together can help you plan, but the five-item rule still requires five matching copies at the stage you want to merge.

A simple way to choose.

  • “Where are the other copies of this?” Start by looking at Black Hole.
  • “What do I have in this chain?” Start by looking at Wormhole.

Once your items are organized, decide which stage to work on next. Keeping one current project easy to see can make a busy home easier to navigate.

Check access in your game.

This guide explains the purpose of the tools. Use the current in-game descriptions for unlock requirements, costs and available controls; it does not assume both tools are available from the beginning.

If something is not working as expected, contact player support with the tool name, your game version and a screenshot of what you see.
